GOOCHLAND, VA – Today, Delegate John McGuire (R-HD56) announced he has given over $31,000 to candidates across Virginia in an effort to win back the majority in the House of Delegates and win critical races at the state and local level.

“The 2021 election will be a defining moment for Virginia and the nation moving forward. That’s why I’ve made it one of my top priorities to support our candidates across our Commonwealth by providing vital funds to help them with their get out the vote efforts. Background:

Delegate John McGuire (R-HD56): John McGuire was born and raised in Henrico County, Virginia. As a child, John spent his early childhood years in the foster care system, bouncing between 9 different elementary schools. By the grace of God, his grandparents rescued him and his older sister from the foster care system and raised them until John graduated from Henrico High School in 1988. Following graduation, John felt a call to service that led him to join the United States Navy.  He served ten years as a Navy SEAL defending our great nation against evil all around the world before returning home to Virginia. Back in his hometown of Henrico, John founded a small business, SEAL Team PT Inc., a fitness company dedicated to helping teams and individuals become stronger, healthier, and more confident. 22 years later, his company helps train Division 1 athletes, anyone aspiring to join the military, and corporations all over the world.

McGuire was first elected to the Virginia House of Delegate in 2017, and re-elected in 2019. While serving the people of Virginia, his focus has been on increasing government transparency, promoting public safety, and working for Virginia families. As a husband and father of five, John knows the importance of building a true partnership between our families, our communities, and our state government.
