McGuire Raises Over Half a Million Dollars For His Delegate Re-Election Campaign

GOOCHLAND, VA – Today, Delegate John McGuire (R-HD56) announced that he has raised over $500,000 for his re-election campaign.

“We’ve been blessed to have a massive outpouring of support for my re-election campaign this year. Democrats have proven they cannot govern. It’s clear now more than ever that Virginians are tired of the radical left, one party rule in Richmond and they are ready for change. Our Commonwealth is prepared to elect new leadership that will put the interests of hardworking Virginians first and won’t bend to special interests that want to raise taxes and support radical left legislation that hurts our economy and much more. Our state is ready for lower taxes, increased funding for law enforcement to protect our communities, and elected officials that will put the interests of children above all else. With two weeks left until the November election, my team is energized to win the 56th and support candidates that will work to make Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family in peace.”

McGuire set a large fundraising goal for himself for 2021 so that he would have the funding to support fellow Republican candidates in targeted races. He continues to give thousands of dollars to Republican candidates across Virginia ranging from statewide races, board of supervisors, and schoolboard.

McGuire’s September fundraising report brings his total raised for July, August, and September to $371,939.21.

For some additional context, when compared to declared republican congressional candidates across the country who are running against sitting Democratic incumbents, McGuire’s $371,939.21 would make him the 11th largest fundraiser in the nation this year among all congressional 3rd quarter fundraising numbers. If McGuire we’re running in a Congressional race, his total would be the largest amount raised by any GOP congressional candidate or incumbent in the state of Virginia.
